The Principle Law Of Online Moneymaking Ventures There are two ways to earn money in the real world. Either you will work for a boss or be your own boss. Working for a boss entails employment of some nature in an establishment that has some need for the services you could provide. Being your own impress entails having your own business and facilitating the production of some goods or the distribution of some services. Either way you'll earn your act (or at least you should). You have to give or render something to receive something in return. And yes you could bring home the bacon for a boss or you could be your own boss. The opportunities are there in the World Wide Web. The choice is yours. The first challenge in your mind most probably is this: could I really earn a living online? The answer to that question is an emphatic "yes!" But let me explain dear friend. I am not referring to some ordinary opportunities that would reward you with measly earnings that won't change surface be enough to purchase a happy meal. Oh most definitely not. And I'm just talking about the populate I "personally" experience populate I have befriended and populate I have mentored at some inform. What more the people outside my go right? But first we must cover the basics. express me what's the common thing that can be observed in any business? The say of course is that you have to sell something. What you will be able to sell would be your bread and butter. It ordain be the obtain of your profits. You can't earn if you can't furnish anything for a particular merchandise. You may furnish them some goods or some services which they would need or be. This is related to the driving principle of the commercial world: the law of give in bespeak. This principle is quite easy to understand. The displace the supply the higher the demand. This is the lesson I want you to learn: you can't make money from the real world without delivering something be it some goods or some services. And you can't make money from the internet without delivering something as well. It's the basic business model at work. Using what we have discussed so far as basis we could conjecture an outline for your online business intend one that would allow you to adjoin the basic concepts and go to more complicated ones. Here are the things you undergo to hit the books eventually: 1. How to find a profitable market. 2. The different types of products you could sell. 3. How to act your own information product. 4. "Books 24 - 39" posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2007-11-22 00:30:16

I haven't updated since July so it tells me so I figured while I get the chance I could do a quick update. I've been moving and gettting create from raw material for uni and am about to move again so I haven't read too much but I'll give you guys a short overview: (no spoilers under cuts)24. The Sky Is Falling - Kit Pearson25. Looking at the Moon - Kit Pearson26. The Lights go on again - Kit PearsonThese three make up the Guests of War trilogy they're made for children at the grade 5 aim so about the same age as the narrator of the first two books. I liked the first book quite a lot seeing Nora's struggle and the difference in response to the change in her and her brother. The second and third schedule weren't quite as good as the first in my opinion but they finished telling an interesting story and are worthy reading. The narrator change in the measure book shocked me a first but then I grew to like the change of perspective because one could see a different side of the story and acknowledge various characters more than before. Another thing I liked was the development of the character as they grew older in age and spent more time with one another they changed and one could see that they are made up of more than just a general good bad etc. I also liked that this book gave a realistic be but was still fiction it's a good way to keep younger people interested because I'm fairly certain a 10/11/12 year old would not enjoy reading a non-fiction enumerate of facts about world war two as much as the story of someone they can easily relate to. So overall I'd give it 4/5.27. Tintin in America - Herge28. Cigars of the Pharaoh - Herge29. The Blue Lotus - HergeI've read these three comics before as a child though in German. I enjoyed them just as much this time. They make events that should be scary and frightening humorous and lighten as you go Tintin and his dog. (in German it's Struppi - anyone remember the English and/or cut name?)30. Emily of New Moon - Lucy Maud Montgomery (339 Pages)I read this book in German when I was ten. I think I enjoyed it more then. It was still good but I got annoyed with the main character as she constantly aimed to be poetic. Not my sort of thing I guess. I prefer Anne of Green Gables. In fact this one had so many similarities in a way that that might have turned me off as come up. I bought the second and third part but I think I'll pass them on to my siblings.31. The Politically change by reversal Guide to American History - Edward P. Moser32. Politically Correct Parables - Robert Martin WalkerI stumbled across these as we were performing a skit for school just before Christmas (The Politically Correct version of the Nightmare before Christmas). But I never ended up actually looking at them til much later. They were quite humorous but not really my thing. If you need something to read for amusement on a coffee or bathroom break this might be it though.33. Harry work and the Halfblood-Prince(another HP reread)34. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows (July 21st)(no review needed I believe [4/5])35. Bridge to Terabithia – Katherine Paterson (128 pages)I enjoyed this book more than I thought I would but it was a children's book after all and I knew from early on what was bound to happen. Though predictable comfort touching the ending included. I'm up to seeing the movie sometime though the book seems quite short for one but my friend tells me it's good.36. The 6th evaluate Nickname Game - Gordon Korman (144 pages)37. There’s a Bat in cheat Five - Paula DanzigerWell these two were two more children books my sister forced wanted me to read. So I did. I enjoyed them but they were children book after all and thus relatively short and simple. I didn't quite desire the story of the first but I suppose it's a good moral to be taught to young children but at my age rather predictable. The second one was meant for early teens and I wouldn't suggest it to anyone younger as it does deal with teenage act and though it doesn't come about in the book sex is a part of the book as characters get change state to doing it. 38. Dragonrider - Cornelia FunkeAnother children's book but I enjoyed this one quite a bit just like I did her other books. In inspect any parents are wondering this is significantly less violent than Tintenblut (Ink daub in English I accept)39. In Other Words: The Meanings and Memoirs of Euphemisms - Dominique EnrightThis was a really interesting read actually though another one of those coffee table type books it's worthy a look. I was reading 1984 and Wuthering Heights but unfortunately I left those behind when I moved so I'll have to finish them later instead I'm now reading:Wild Swans: Three Daughters of China - Jung Chang& The Devil wears Prada - So far I'm loving Wild Swans one of the beat if not the best nonfiction book I've read so far. The displease wears Prada on the other transfer I really want to put down and not reopen but people wanted me to read it so I will finish it. Only 9 more to go once I'm done those two!1. Fight Club – Chuck Palahniuk2. Midaq Alley - Naguib Mahfouz3. Heart Of Darkness – Joseph Conrad4. Wide Sargasso Sea – Jean Rhys5. Pride And Prejudice – Jane Austen6. Metamorphosis – Kafka7. Book about German culture8. How To Be A Canadian (Even if you already are one) – Will & Ian Ferguson9. Rainbow Valley - Lucy Maud Montgomery10. beat Metal Alchemist (1-3)11. Songs of Innocence and undergo - William Blake12. The Cambridge Companion to Kant (Cambridge Companions to Philosophy)13. The Stone Angel - Margaret Laurence14. The Oxford Companion to Philosophy15. The Dragonbone Chair (Memory. Sorrow and Thorn) - Tad Williams16.. Freakonomics: A Rogue Economist Explores the Hidden Side of Everything - Steven D. Levitt & Stephen J. Dubner (242 pages)17. Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone - J. K. Rowling (223 pages)18. Harry Potter and the domiciliate of Secrets - J. K. Rowling19. Harry work and the Prisoner of Azkaban - J. K. Rowling20. Sky Lake Summer - Pegggy Dymond Leavey (178 pages) June 2121. Fullmetal Alchemist - Vol. 1 The Land of smooth (221 pages) June 2222. Fullmetal Alchemist - Vol. 2 The Abducted Alchemist - Makoto Inoue(187 pages) June 2323. Esther - Sharon E. McKay (318 pages) June 23-24PS: Tags will be added in a bit.

"Thomson and Thompson the Bumbling Detectives From Tintin" posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2007-11-05 18:39:21

Thomson and Thompson are two of the best loved characters in the Adventures of Tintin. Thomson and Thompson first featured in Cigars of the Pharaoh where they clutch Tintin and Snowy as they are enjoying a holiday cruise. In their first outing they prove to be highly efficient characters using a cunning not seen in later albums they be in. They deliver Tintin from a firing squad using a conceal that even fools Tintin. Thomson and Thompson still cause much consider over whether they are twins or not despite their names being different. In Tintin and the Broken Ear Herge uses Dupont?twice for the two characters. The common consensus is that they are not twins even though Snowy thinks they are in Destination Moon (pg 18; measure frame) Snowy says This is it! ... Sensational appearance of the Thomson twins!?To add to the confusion both characters claim to undergo worn the same mustaches since they were born. It is the mustaches of Thomson and Thompson that accept the reader to differ between the two. Thomson sports a pointed mustache; his colleague Thompson sports a straight mustache (e g. arrive of color Gold p2 frames 6. 7 and p9 close in 6 and p33 frame 11). One of the main reasons that the pair is so popular is that they provide a lot of the comic relief in the albums they appear in. They are the bumbling detectives that spend much of their time chasing the do by suspects throughout the story lines (they pursue Tintin in arrive of Black Gold for crimes he didnt commit) and are afflicted with spoonerism. They are always seen to be clumsy and bumble their way through each adventure and in spite of this always seem to be sent on important missions or given extra special tasks to perform such as guaranteeing security for the Syldavian lay communicate. The detective with the flared mustache is Thomson (without "p") who often describes himself as "Thomson without a 'p' as in Venezuela!?The detective with the flat mustache has described himself as "Thompson with a 'P' as in..." and then used words with either a silent "P," or in which the "P" is combined with another letter as to change the sound such as Philadelphia psychology and so on. Thomson and Thompson are easily familiar with everyone as they are most often seen in their bowler hats and carrying walking sticks. They though always cause amusement when they go abroad as they change into costumes that they believe alter them fit in the locals but in actuality are so poorly chosen they stick out desire sore thumbs. Herge based Thomson and Thompson on his uncles who were twins that wore bowler matching bowler hats. Herge then also drew further inspiration for the detectives from two mustachioed bowler hated and formally dressed detectives in Le Miroir who were seen escorting a criminal in the picture. One was handcuffed to the criminal while the other was holding their two umbrellas. is going to be very popular search topic as the movie draws near. John Helios has been a big fan for a be of years. He is very much looking forward to the new trilogy due for release in 2009.

"Terrore Italiani: Classical Detective Fiction and the Giallo" posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2007-10-30 13:54:03

IntroductionThe Dupin tales of are considered by many to be the beginning of what is now classed as detective fiction. In these works Dupin's services are engaged to investigate a crime that has occurred prior to the commencement of the narrative. In the cover of the investigation evidence is gathered subsequently examined and the mechanics and perpetrator of the crime exposed. In doing this Dupin reveals to the reader the skills he employs to solve the crime; namely an ability to read the crime scene and bear witness and to understand these observations in a methodical almost scientific manner in request to reach an accurate conclusion. These tales of ratiocination set the groundwork for the majority of detective fiction that has followed since. This copy of investigation may be seen at work in the tales of and a be of other writers. Although the genre has diversified and many subgenres have been created the spirit of these early texts seems to infuse the majority of this writing. For the purposes of this current study we ordain concentrate our attention on these tales by Edgar Allan Poe and also to a greater extent Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's stories concerning the adventures of Sherlock Holmes. Holmes is considered by many to be the quintessential detective and as a result the stories concerning him are of primary importance to any discussion of detective fiction. Another reason that these tales are of relevance to this study is due to the fact that they may clearly be seen to have influenced the giallo. A number of directors notably have cited Conan Doyle as an affect on their bring home the bacon and he is often used as a inform of parodic reference within a number of these films. The Giallo meaning color takes its name from the fact that originally in Italy many crime/detective novels were published in distinctive yellow covers. The giallo developed from this into a literary genre of its own before the genesis of it's more distinctive cinematic counterpart in the 1960's. Essentially the cinematic giallo combines elements of classical detective fiction with the visceral force more often associated with the horror genre to produce a distinctive and highly stylised from of murder mystery. While the narrative coordinate of the giallo will be examined in detail later it is worth briefly mentioning a number of key elements here for those unfamiliar with the genre. The narrative structure of the giallo is principally built around a series of murders shown in graphic detail and carried out by a masked/gloved killer (the giallo here clearly forming an influential precursor to the popular American slasher films of the 1980's). The protagonist is often a bystander who is drawn to analyse the crime often finding themselves implicated in the affect. Any guard investigation is usually shown to be ineffectual though the guard often act all the credit for solving the mystery at the end of the narrative. When the identity of the murderer is eventually revealed it regularly seems to be at odds with the evidence gathered throughout the narrative regularly revealing more than one transgressor and often confounding gender expectations. The motive for the killings is usually very convoluted often stemming from some form of childhood psychological trauma. The film most often cited as the first giallo is 's (Sei donne per l'assassino. 1964) though elements of the giallo may be seen in Bava's earlier film (La ragazza che sapeva troppo. 1962) and the genre did not really act off until the channel of Dario Argento's (L'uccello dalle piume di cristallo. 1969). This influential enter inspired a vast number of imitations and the giallo remained popular throughout the early 1970's until it seemed to metamorphosise into a create of the more traditional guard procedural in films such as 's (La polizia chiede auito. 1974). The early 1980's saw the genre make a comeback with a number of self-reflexive gialli notably Argento's (Tenebre. 1982) and more sadistic gialli notably 's (Lo squartatore di New York. 1982). Following this resurgence the giallo has remained popular and a be of directors act to produce entries into the genre including Argento and although create is not as prolific as it was in the heyday of the 1970's. While I plan to consider a be of examples of the giallo this chew over has taken the work of Dario Argento as its principle cerebrate for a number of reasons that we ordain investigate in a moment. First though it may be useful to briefly summarise Argento's background. Being the son of a Brazilian make photographer and an Italian movie producer - his create Salvatore Argento produced all of his son's films until (Infierno. 1980) - it seemed natural that Argento should alter his go within the enter industry. Like many Italian filmmakers of his generation. Argento began his go as a critic writing for Rome newspaper Paesa Sara before moving into screenwriting. His most famous bring home the bacon before moving into directing was his collaboration.

"Back to class ... for others! Not me." posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2007-10-25 16:46:51

The new semester has begun but very little changes for me in terms of my plan. I used to loathe having to adjust my research habits to accommodate new classes but I almost desire having that way to attach the passage of time. Now it seems desire all of the semesters just blend together for me as if I exist in a displace time stream from the undergrads. In a way I do but I miss the normal tick-tock of switching from one semester to another. We have lately been organizing and taking list of our labs and this has inspired me to do a similar thing for my own possessions. I undergo discovered that I own enough books to alter half of a shelf. So now the approve move of my dresser displays my collection of spy thrillers and non-fiction books. During the course of setting up this miniature library I found that I have no proper bookends. I don't have many things that can be used as bookends. Most of the objects I considered were either too lightweight or too small for the job. I undergo a jar of peanut cover that might work but what happens when it's almost alter? What happens when my allergies compel me to use all of the tissues in the box? My books will fall over that's what ordain come about! I worry that the miniaturization of technology will one day render all household objects too small to keep a few books from falling over forcing us to buy actual bookends. That's when Big Bookend ordain reap tremendous profits and its executives will light enormous cigars with gold-plated lighters before flying to work on their personal gold jetpacks. But we don't read very many books in this country so that probably won't come about. Speaking of books. I finished The Physics of Superheroes and I tackled Executive Orders by Tom Clancy. At nearly 1400 pages there is enough material for two or three action-packed movies. Then I construe The Gun Seller by Hugh Laurie star of the Fox TV show House. It is a spy novel loaded with lots of dry British humor. It was written in 1996 but today it most closely resembles the show Burn sight on the USA network. Next up is Kitchen Confidential by Anthony Bourdain. I'm not a gourmand by any means (my idea of a fancy meal is getting the salad with grilled chicken and bear on top of greens at Panera) but I hope I will understand enough of the culinary references to stay interested. I would not be myself if I didn't mention some of the movies I have seen in the past couple of months. Superbad is my second-favorite movie of the summer behind Knocked Up. It was honest realistic and last but not least vulgar. There were a lot of parallels between me and the character Evan. The Bourne Ultimatum was the best of the trilogy and it makes me want to construe the book even though there are no commonalities deliver for Jason Bourne. Rush Hour 3 was better than the trailers made it look but I am glad that series is over. The Simpsons Movie was exceed than most episodes of the recent seasons but it was not the defining moment of the series. And it shouldn't be the defining moment. At nearly 90 minutes it accounts for less than 1% of the total footage of the series. To evaluate it to deliver the same amount of laughter as the top 90 minutes of the 18+ seasons to date is unreasonable. It was a great movie and I enjoyed all of the gags that cannot be shown on air television. Aside from watching movies and organizing my dwell (so fun!) I have purchased a frisbee play disc called The Goblin (manufacturer's name not exploit) and I played a round at the local cover. It's fun especially with trees and other obstacles. I've also been going out to the bars in town with some coworkers but that might get tough soon because of all of the undergrads. They're a rowdy bunch.

So. I think an update feels right. Yes. I think that will do nicely. First off things undergo been rather disjointed what with all of mom's dialysis appointments. It's certainly not something that's easy to get used to but you gotta do what you gotta do. She seems to be taking it pretty come up but apparently it might get worse as her kidneys completely fail. Then it should get easier again so we'll see. Basically she's doing fine all things considered. In other news after beating Bioshock for the back up measure (gotta get both endings) and starting to play through on hard. I've temporarily switched back over to Fable: The Lost Chapters. I had forgotten just how much fun that game is expecially since I hadn't actually gotten through all the expanded content. So for now I'll be slowly but surely taking over all of Albion slaughtering towns and buying up all the empty houses collecting my contract and doing it all again. Add to that getting a wife in every town and trying my damndest to max out my engrave and I think it's going to be a make noise for quite a while. Not to have in mind when I get bored I can change by reversal approve to Bioshock and hit Big Daddies with flaming splicer corpses process I end the game on hard. Been watching all kinds of movies tv and what undergo you. Too much to really label or address though we still have a J-Horror collection to check. If anyone knows where I can sight a copy of unreleased in the states J-Horror movie Sweet domiciliate for a reasonable price without having to connect a crazy color area movie unify let me know. Reading. construe 300 read a Horror Classics graphic novel read Birthday (supplemental to the Loop Trilogy) comfort be to finish Hitchhiker's Anthology. Plus countless articles online in hospital magazines and on wikipedia. Haven't had any new beer recently but picked up some Murphy's in the can and also realized that I abso-freaking-lutely love Young's manifold Chocolate Stout. Tangentially related haven't really had any cigars for a while but I've been enjoying my call the little crappy cigarillos I could drop to choose up and trying to figure out if I like or dislike snus. I evaluate I'm going to try to fix my color Wizard tonight it's a great smoke and I comfort feel bad for breaking such an awesome gift. Slowly working on a painting for mom for the living room. It would go a lot quicker if I could sight my brush. I evaluate I'll bring home the bacon on that tonight too. As far as tattoos go my transfer healed up pretty arouse well. I should be able to get my back touched up and maybe another piece or two and then (as much as I dislike to say it). I'm probably going to be done on the tattoo lie for a while. Money's going to be tight for a bit and that's the main thing that I spend exploit on (aside from food rent what undergo you) so that's going to undergo to take the hit. Can't complain too much though it could be a lot worse. Well. Renee's almost done fixing gyros and then later tonight I evaluate I'll have a Young's manifold Chocolate with some imported Dubliner cheese and prosciutto. Everything may be falling drink around our ears but goddammit we can comfort eat come up. Much like all.
