"OpusX BBMF" posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2007-11-17 15:06:14

Well. I lit a 4+ yr old BBMF for a little pre-b-day celebration this past weekend and thought I would give my thoughts. Couple of things I should mention before I start this is the Opus used to be one of my favorites about 7 or 8 years ago. When I started smoking in 97 they were THE primo to try and sight maybe that fact added to it being a favorite of mine. Before this BBMF I haven't smoked an Opus in proabably over a year. Construction was of course top notch. These aren't rolled for just anyone so they have to be the best of the best. I have always loved the look of the cigar. I already wish I had another to look at but I have the pictures The cigar had just an awesome feel when rolling it in my fingers. The pre-light displace was a little tight but that was purely because of the maduro nipple on this thing. After it burned the nipple off it was a perfect draw. Had to re-light once during the whole cigar but that may have been my fault. For about the first half of this cigar I didn't taste any of the harshness that the Opus have been go to be known for. It is like no other Opus in the taste. Very full and smooth but I wouldn't call it strength. It's very different. Very good. The 2nd half was another story. I would describe it as a tad harsh bitter cater or just purely stated an Opus X. I put it out before I wanted to when going into it but it was time. Final thoughts is an A+ cigar that finished with an overall grade of C-. Looks much prettier in my pictures (see below). I could have probably traded it for a multitude of better smokes. Excellent looking smoke. I hope to try my first on in a couple weeks myself. I'll hopefully get some pictures and maybe do a little review. Excellent looking smoke try to grimace next time (I understand the approach though with DiceK pitching...). I'm working on tracking a few down to show off. Thanks! __________________"Never believe a Gorilla offering to displace you anything..." Excellent looking consume try to smile next measure (I understand the approach though with DiceK pitching...). I'm working on tracking a few drink to show off. Thanks! Yeah at that moment. Dice-K wasn't making me happy but the bet turned out excellent!!!! "When you make a identify there are only three things you should ever do about it: admit it hit the books from it and don't tell it." Nice review thanks. I recently acquired 2 of the '05's. They'll sit for a long desire time. Nice review thanks. I recently acquired 2 of the '05's. They'll sit for a long long time. I wish I knew the year on this one. I do experience it was before they were actually released-un-releases. . procure © TOP 25 CIGAR & CLUB STOGIE. COM All rights reserved Winnipeg. Manitoba. Canada
