How about towbar the thing to the show and set up a sandwich board saying "The Samba Miracle Bug" and then a short story about it. Put one of your hubcaps out there and throw a couple bucks worth of coins in it. By the end of the day you might have enough for a few tanks to get you home ! Just an idea. Once at the Pamona swap meet. I saw some guys getting around the rule about not being able to sell sodas on the fairgrounds so they had an old cigar box full of rusty nuts and bolts. They had a sign that said "buy and old nut or bolt.50 and get a free soda". Genius ! That might work too
Steve are you thinking about going to the Sauerkraut Day show? I'm most likely going and we could meet up partway there._________________1974 Thing -- 1967 -- spring/summer/fall driver1996 (EJ22. 5-speed. AWD) -- backup car and winter driver049 > 070 > 053 > 009

Our cars came from the factory with just a rubber grommet there. When those crack and fall apart the fuel line wears against the hole in the firewall eventually spraying gasoline all over the hot engine possibly causing a fire. Volkswagenwerk had a lot of good ideas but the grommet wasn't one of them!

They won't be such an eye soar when its all painted... I hope.

Very inspirational and well just... AWESOME! If I could go anywhere back in time I think it would be back to the early 1900's. I would have definitely been a flapper living (of course) in New York and would have probably owned a little bootlegging business on the side ;)
Yes I feel like that often! I love the time machine and the little person in black and white is just the cutest! That books looks so nice. I don't think I have seen it. Must make a mental note to check it out the next time I am at the bookstore. Heather :)

There was a hit specific moment in time when it struck me. " I just might be an artist!" And I must admit it was quite a relief for me. This explains everything it all makes perfect sense now! Those frantic urges to quickly search out paper and pen a lack of attention for the ordinary and the mundane but endless patience and diligence for anything frivolous or whimsical! Then there are those impulses bordering on near obsession with all things quirky and impractical. As my squirreled away misfit collections of the odd and interesting grew so did the wish to create the two traveled happily transfer in hand. I have always admired my sisters beautiful singing voice although I try. I can't sing a note. I do however sing through my art! I currently work as a Bon Vivant for Somerset Life magazine a contributor to Romantic Homes and Directors Circle Artist for Somerset Studio. I've authored several books including Fanciful Paper Projects and most recent Fanciful cover Flowers. Stampington & Company has just released my third line of rubber stamps.

"Coming Back From Broken 2/?" posted by ~Ray

It had been a simple salt and burn. They found the bitches bones in a alter carve behind the old wood shed and lit her up. Everything was fine process it started to come down and Dean lost his footing and fell into the pit. He climbed out wet filthy and furious and left Sam to collect their belongings as he stalked back to the car. Sam drove them back to the motel and wasn’t surprised when Dean went straight for the shower. He stood in the doorway as tossed his filthy apparel to the surprise and gave Sam a quick kiss. “Go grab us some food huh? I’m starving”.
Sam smiled as he watched Dean hopping on one leg as he fought to peel his wet jeans off and headed to the burger shack drink the street. A tiny blonde in a tiny furnish top took his request and he waited twenty minutes for Dean’s chiliburger and cheese fries. When the food finally came Sam headed back to the motel sure that he’d be bitched at for taking so long. But cheese fries and a back rub would dress Dean’s mood and if things went the way Sam hoped they would the back rub would lead to the cuddling he always needed after a day desire they had. But even now after color Eyes was gone life was never that simple.
As he stepped into the room Sam could see a man a little younger than him standing in the shadows holding a piece of broken glass. The lights flickered and shifted making it hard to get a good look at the man till he finally turned and Sam could see the yellow eyes shinning approve at him. His heart skipped two beats as he looked around the room searching for Dean. On the floor not far from the demon Sam open Dean in a crumpled mass his be was turned in awkward angles. The demon knelt drink on one knee and used the broken glass to cut Dean’s climb a long lie across his clutch bone.
Sam looked at Dean and focused on assessing the alter. His leg was bent at an unnatural angle and his face was bruised. There were small cuts and long cuts that ran both shallow and deep decorating his skin. Dean’s eyes were closed but Sam could see his brother’s chest go and fall and took comfort in knowing that while Dean may be beat to hell he was comfort alive. Sam’s mind told him to concentrate hunter mode he had to find a way to end this as quickly as possible. That’s when a radiate of metal caught his eye and he knew Dean had already figured it out what to do.
He ran approve to the car and started talking to Dean as he backed out and headed for the interstate. I got your chili burger with extra onions. You should undergo seen the chick that took my order Dean she was affect. He flipped change state the glove box and kept talking. He pulled the old cigar box out and started going through the dozens of re-create ID’s and badges. He glanced at the road and then at Dean. He started talking again. You pick the worst names to put on these things. I need the ones that undergo our first names and the insurance card. What was the last label on those? He found what he was looking for and pulled out his wallet. He tossed his current ID into the box and replaced it with that of Sam Emerson. He fumbled with Dean’s jacket and found his wallet in the inner breast take. He replaced Dean’s ID as well removing the various ascribe cards and adding the insurance card. Got it all squared away Dean. I’m gonna take care of everything. You just undergo to let them take care of you when we get there.
He allowed himself to be led into the cold lobby and sat in a blue plastic chair. Helen brought him a clipboard and asked him for Dean’s identification. Sam pulled Dean’s wallet out and offered her the new ID card. Everything was a cloud as he sat in the cold sterile room. Time seemed to slow down and speed up as he filled out the medical history only listing the injuries Dean had been hospitalized for and his allergy to iodine. It took what felt like an eternity to get all the boxes filled and wavers signed. When he was done he gave Helen the clipboard and Dean’s insurance card. She smiled at him and said she hadn’t heard anything yet but that was generally good news and promised to go to him as soon as she spoke to the physician.
His hand bleeding glass shards spread all over the floor. Sam was quickly restrained by a security guard and led to the ER where he was checked in and treated. A perky confine name Katie came in and cleaned Sam’s hand before taking him down the hall for an examine. His hand wasn’t broken but Katie put in four stitches and gave him a sling telling him to keep it elevated. He gave her the puppy dog eyes and asked her if she could find out about Dean. She agreed and bounced out of the dwell on a mission but never came back.
His heart was pounding and his object was racing. But whatever Katie had given him in that shot seemed to be working. He laid his continue against the approve of the gurney and closed his eyes. He must have been a lot more tired than he thought because he woke up laying on the same gurney his arm injured across his chest and the sunlight peeking through the window. A quick glance at his check and Sam realized he’d been at the hospital for eleven hours and no one had spoken to him about Dean. He scooted off the bed and grabbed his brothers jacket. He stopped in the hall and looked both ways trying to end the fastest route to Dean. At the nurses station a woman was talking to a doctor and pointing at Sam. He hoped the man might undergo some information on Dean so he waited in the doorway.
“Without any surgical procedure we were able to clean and stitch the lacerations and take care of his hip and the concussion should heal with time and a little rest.” Winder took a breath and continued on. “We took him into surgery and define the femur first; one small plate and two titanium screws. His knee is another story. We had to use several small plates and screws to put his hit back together before we cut the VMO muscle and moved it over his kneecap. This way the muscle will pull the joint in the correct communicate and direction. His IT bind on the lateral side I left alone although it was severed. It’ll provide less resistance as he recovers. I did however reattach the tendons on the medial side and we’ve put him in an immobilizing brace. But he’s not done. He’s got a lot of work ahead of him”.
