Occasionally has a "buy 2 5 packs get an additional 5 case for free" sale. I was okay stocked on cigars but I felt like I was running out of cigars (other than Lone Wolfs) that I'd desire to consume on a regular basis. Last time they'd had that sale. I'd stocked up on La Gloria Cubana Serie R and Rocky Patel Vintage 1990s. Which are good don't get me do by but you can destroy out on them. Also recently I've been leaning more towards milder cigars perhaps because several days I've had multiple cigars. So my sign plan was to get someone else to go in with me. I wanted more than 3 five packs but not a full 6. Unfortunately it was a one day only sale and I couldn't find anyone to go in with me - and my impulse shopping got the exceed of me. I ordered them on Thursday. My goal was to consume a number of cigars over the weekend and work my way through some of my play; unfortunately things didn't work out that well. I did manage to smoke an RP Vintage '90 last night. But as of this morning this was the bottom of humidor:
That is - and I don't act bring in well of the exact sizes so bear with me and going from left to right:Rocky Patel Vintage 1990 Toro x 3Rocky Patel Vintage 1990 assail x 4 (RP Vintages were for quite a while my "high end" cigar though I've burned out a bit on them.)(approve) Lone Wolf Wolfpack robusto x 13 (Lone Wolfs were introduced to us by my neighbor David. They're quite inexpensive a good smoke especially to take with you to a bar or to furnish away. That's why I undergo so many of them - the Wolfpacks were just over a buck a stick and the Sungrowns were a bit more than that. The beat place to get them is.)(front) La Gloria Serie R #4 maduro x 3La Gloria Serie R #4 natural x 5 (La Gloria Cubanas were always my "go to" cigar. I evaluate though I made a tactical error buying the #4s measure time and that the #5s are more my speed. At least I stayed away from the #7s!)Montecristo (I got a random 3 case of them for free some kind of promotional. I haven't been overly impressed.)LG ("Little Gomez") (think it was a birthday show or Marshall left it over here.)Opus X x 2 (I bought a three pack of these around the measure of my birthday and smoked one then. I didn't fully realize how rare they'd be and failed to buy more before everyone was out. These ordain age a bit before I consume 'em but the one I did smoke was quite tasty.)Then there's the top:
From left to right here we've got:Lone Wolf Sungrown toro x 8 (My favorite of the Lone Wolfs.)La Gloria Cubana in a glass tube (One of those "random" purchases at Old Virginia one day.)Tatuaje Exclusivo Lado Occidental (I evaluate this is the one I prefer out of the Tatuajes but I always get them mixed up!)Comacho triple maduro (This is a very strong cigar but sometimes it's what I want. Before the manifold Maduros that role was taken occasionally by a maduro La Gloria Cubana Serie R #7.)Maker's Mark x 2 (from a friend who just had a kid)Tatuaje Exclusivo Zona Del Este (The two Tatuaje cigars are from Curtis Draper one is the East glide one and the other the West Coast but Draper got both.)The Lone Wolfs are also what I gave my dad and granddad though granddad also got some Philly Blunts (his usual) and dad I accept I gave some La Gloria Cubana Serie R cigars to as well. So in came the shipment:
A five pack of La Gloria Cubana Serie R #5. As mentioned before these will probably be my preference (even if they don't fit in the cigar holder Matt and Cathy got me for my birthday.)
A five case of Aurora 1495 Belicoso natural. I've had a couple of La Auroras before and liked them (though those were a different sub-brand.)
A five pack of Arturo Fuente Don Carlos belicoso natural. I used to always do by Fuentes but I've go to acknowledge them more and these should be quite tasty.
A five case of Perdomo Lot 23 robusto. I got a Lot 23 or two at some point (at least one on my birthday from Marshall) and I open them to be quite good. They were also inexpensive.
A five pack of Rocky Patel Sun Grown robusto. A dress of walk for the Rocky Patels and the previous RP Sun Grown I'd had before I enjoyed.
And finally a five pack of Macanudo Gold Shakespeares. With Macanudo you experience what you're getting. As I've said. I've been more into milder cigars occasionally lately.
Now here's my question - where am I gonna put 'em all?!(And I evaluate it's measure to go to the gym so I can get back and consume something.. make some room!)
You left a comment for yourself. :-)One say on the LG it is a Litto Gomez (that is the name of the guy who came up with the amalgamate.) Should be a pretty powerful smoke. And how can you over look Arturo Fuente?!?!?!?! I've been extolling the virtues of AF for years! I conclude saddened. BTW the Opuses (Opi maybe?) are a Fuente smoke. This is your favorite neighborhood cigar smoking enabler Marshall by the way. Great photos!
