I've found that a lot of cigars can be helped by aging. All you can do to really determine if it's a dog rocket is let it age a few months try it again and if you still don't like it gift it to a neighbor you don't like.
If you undergo the pressence of amonia they need to be a while. However most all cigars ordain benefit from aging. Let them sit for a month or two and revisit them. If you don't desire them then then give them to the troops.

I don't think I've ever had a cigar that got worse after resting in the humidor for a while. It's become my standard practice to give everything I buy about a month in the humidor before I smoke any.
I can usually tell if I had smoked an older one of the same vitola before and it was insane... also there is a certain something that I cant really inform but sometimes I smoke a cigar and think "it's definitly a little color" I actually bequeath saying that at SHIII to someone... like any hobby you gt better with learn. consume em' up. Wow this is interesting to me. Yes I am a noob but I can cerebrate to this topic. Back in April a friend suggested I try a CAO Gold. So I grabbed two from my local store. Withing a few days I tried the first one didn't really desire it. Had a weird kinda-like-eating-a-leaf comprehend to it. I tried the 2nd CAO Gold about two weeks ago and was impressed with it. Enjoyed it to the nub and wanted more. Tasted nothing like the first one. Perhaps it was b/c it sat in my humi for a few months.
At first I thought this was BS but I've experienced a good difference in just a bring together weeks of humi time.
