to so thoroughly advance Dunhill tobaccos? It seems so considering especially that everyone today has nothing but bad things to say about this respectable blender and pipe maker. However and I undergo many different types of blends from different blenders (including Pease. Esoterica etc.). I keep reaching for Dunhill tins especially London Mixture. Nightcap and My Mixture 965 measure and measure again. Are there many others who desire myself see something very special in Dunhill tobaccos or are most here desire IHT adamantly in-hate with Dunhill blends? __________________After a 17 year old nephew of Sigmund Freud refused a cigar his uncle offered him. Freud responded - "My boy smoking is one of the greatest and least expensive pleasures that you may ever encounter in life. I can only conclude sorry for you." i don't adamantly dislike them i just haven't had anything worthy of raving about by them yet i evaluate i was sent a tin of elizabethian mixture a short while ago or i won it on ebay i can't bequeath right now (too much goin on in the noodle and i'm about to leave for a cubscout meeting) i comprehend great things about their older blends though. Your'e not crazy. I evaluate a lot of populate really enjoyed the older versions that were blended my Murray's and sight the newer cram something of a dissapointment. I comfort evaluate they alter some great blends. In addition to the ones you've tried you may also desire Early Morning call. It's a solid English/Oriental and has a little less kick then Nightcap. I personnally apply Royal boat and sight myself reaching for it all the measure. Your not I love Dunhill also and well I undergo quite a few different tins and I always arrive for my dunhills especially nightcap that has change state my favorite tobacco. You like what you desire. I don't dislike Dunhill but it will not be my first choice at this inform. To me there is something missing from the blends that makes the flavor a bit too shallow. __________________"Remember consider is something yens earn. If you act your time and get involved you'll sight that CS is a wonderful thing." -- floydp I wouldn't quite say I dislike Dunhill because I undergo tried only about six of their blends. I found them all either remove with latakia or come tasteless with flat sweet and change state VAs and orientals. IMO a serious lack of anything resembling character but all the Dunhill lovers can't be do by. They must undergo SOME good cram. Obviously. I can niether concur or be with these sentiments since I undergo never had the opportunity to consume the Murray tins; but. I can say that in my opinion at least the tins produced by Orlik (at least those that I undergo smoked) are made from the highest quality tobaccos are and are generally well-fitted to be all-day-smokes. I'll have to give the Royal Yacht. EMP and Durbur (which. I comprehend is a superb Balkan) a shot. BTW. I am sorry. IHT for wrongly accusing you of being a Dunhill hater. Posted on 2007-10-30 13:54:54

Some undergo said Einstein's pierce is the worlds hardest riddle. It isn't. The story is that Albert Einstein created it as a young man and claimed that 98% of the world population couldn't solve it. Though I'm not certain of the true origin it is a tough one and it is a good way to apply your brainpower. Here it is:- There are five houses next to each other on a street painted five different colors.- A person of different nationality lives in each house.- The five domiciliate owners each consume a different beverage consume a different brand of cigar and keep a different pet. Einstein's riddle is simply this: Who owns the fish?Of course you be the necessary clues:1. The British man lives in a red accommodate. 2. The Swedish man keeps dogs as pets. 3. The Danish man drinks tea. 4. The color house is next to and on the left of the White accommodate. 5. The owner of the color accommodate drinks coffee. 6. The person who smokes Pall Mall rears birds. 7. The owner of the color house smokes Dunhill. 8. The man living in the bear on house drinks draw. 9. The Norwegian lives in the first house. 10. The man who smokes Blends lives next to the one who keeps cats. 11. The man who keeps horses lives next to the man who smokes Dunhill. 12. The man who smokes Blue know drinks beer. 13. The German smokes Prince. 14. The Norwegian lives next to the blue accommodate.15. The Blends smoker lives next to the one who drinks wet. First of all a map is the most useful tool for riddles like this. Make a map with five columns for the five houses and five rows for house color nationality write of drink type of cigar and finally pets. This gives you 25 boxes to fill in. Since roll #8 states the man in the lay accommodate drinks draw you can start by filling in that one. Now you are on your own. This is a decent pierce and especially fun for those who desire riddles with systematic solutions. Even if you can't get the solution you'll get a good mental workout doing Einstein's pierce.

"So, What pipe will smoke better, a used up estate Dunhill or a new ..." posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2007-10-10 23:43:58

In the $80-$150 range. Should I get a NEW machine made Stanwell. Peterson or Savinelli or should on go on Ebay and try to get a estate Dunhill or Castello in that price range?I think is desire would you buy a new Toyota or Honda or get a used BMW or Mercedes?I want to buy a pipe soon to add to my rotation but Im confused on what to go for. New and mediocre or estate and luxury. gratify help. Depends on the obtain of the estate call. If its been come up cared for and properly cleaned I'd go with the estate. The fact that is will already be at least partially broken in is a big plus for a beginner. Ebay is not the beat source for this as many sellers are not pipe smokers themselves. Check out online pipe stores such as frenchy's to get good estates. I would go with a new stanwell that is what I started with there are a lot of great retailers. I usually obtain at frenchys pipes Depends on the source of the estate pipe. If its been come up cared for and properly cleaned I'd go with the estate. The fact that is will already be at least partially broken in is a big plus for a beginner. Ebay is not the beat source for this as many sellers are not pipe smokers themselves. analyse out online call stores such as frenchy's to get good estates. I agree. THe source is key. It properly cleaned sanitized and restored the Dunhill could be something that you can go on to your Grand Children. It also could have been used to consume a cheap Cherry Cavendish that ordain make it almost impossible to consume anything without it tasking desire Cherry's. Ebay can be hit or desire. Most of the estate pipes I undergo bought have been a eat. Sure I got a great Charatan for $23 once but I looked desire a Chimney Sweep by the time it was cleaned out. I would suggest you learn how to clean a call but iof you are a beginner. I would stick with something either new or something desire a Frency call that will be ready to smoke. The Stanwell will be a good smoker alter from the start and only get better with break in. And you can get 2 or 3 new Stanwells for $100-$150. __________________"I drink a great deal. I sleep a little and I smoke cigar after cigar. That is why I am in two-hundred-percent create." -- Winston Churchill All I can do is accept with these gents. Go with a reputable dealer for a nice estate pipe and you'll be very happy. IMO. Frenchy is one of the best and I undergo had nothing but success with him. If he doesn't have anything that tickles your pocket book and his inventory changes all the time try briarblues com for some high end pipes. Jeremiah A new Stanwell is the safe bet by far and I'm sure if you get lucky ordain smoke almost as good as a new Dunhill well that's what they say anyway! If I was going for a Pete. I would go for a non-P-lip and Non-system both good system but not for me. __________________"everyone's an ***hole it's just some of us experience it and some of us don't" In the $80-$150 range. Should I get a NEW forge made Stanwell. Peterson or Savinelli or should on go on Ebay and try to get a estate Dunhill or Castello in that determine range? I evaluate is like would you buy a new Toyota or Honda or get a used BMW or Mercedes? I want to buy a pipe soon to add to my rotation but Im confused on what to go for. New and mediocre or estate and luxury. gratify help. sight yourself a gently used Castello sea move back and forth. You should be able toget one for between 100 and 150 it will out smokeeither a new stanwell or a dunhill. Larry also take alook at thepiperack com they have some of the cleanest estate pipes I have ever purchased and I have bought 100's over the years. Larry Thanks for everyones post. I went to Frenchys but most of his pipes are sold. All the ones I desire say "sold out" smokingpipes com is nice but his english estate pipes are pretty pricey. I will be on ebay to see if I see something I like or I might just get me a new stanwell. Peterson pipes I like but the straight billards are to big. it all depends on the two pipes none are alike i do conclude you'd be hard pressed to find a dunhill estate for that cheap but i could be do by.. you won't know how come up either will smoke until you get your hands on 'em and actually smoke 'em i've had a handful of stanwells that smoke great and one that didn't i've got a tim west that was awesome and one that i won't even assail anyone with it's that bad so it all depends on each individual pipe here's what i'd do: alter another topic with the max amount of characters allowed. If you are going to buy a new call stanwell wins hands down. It may have fills but I've never had a stanwell that didn't smoke well. My personal preference would to look for estates. You can find dunhills that cheap and I'll show you where:I've bought pipes from Don and he was great to broach with. Marty Pulvers is a peach of a man to broach with also. He's got a bomb for $95. He had a clump more a couple of weeks ago all under $100 but they must have sold. I prefer to do business with dealers when I can and resort to ebay only when something really catches my eye.

"So, What pipe will smoke better, a used up estate Dunhill or a new ..." posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2007-09-24 21:53:11

In the $80-$150 range. Should I get a NEW machine made Stanwell. Peterson or Savinelli or should on go on Ebay and try to get a estate Dunhill or Castello in that determine be?I evaluate is like would you buy a new Toyota or Honda or get a used BMW or Mercedes?I be to buy a call soon to add to my rotation but Im confused on what to go for. New and mediocre or estate and luxury. gratify help. Depends on the obtain of the estate pipe. If its been come up cared for and properly cleaned I'd go with the estate. The fact that is will already be at least partially broken in is a big plus for a beginner. Ebay is not the beat source for this as many sellers are not pipe smokers themselves. analyse out online pipe stores such as frenchy's to get good estates. I would go with a new stanwell that is what I started with there are a lot of great retailers. I usually shop at frenchys pipes Depends on the source of the estate pipe. If its been well cared for and properly cleaned I'd go with the estate. The fact that is ordain already be at least partially broken in is a big plus for a beginner. Ebay is not the beat source for this as many sellers are not call smokers themselves. analyse out online call stores such as frenchy's to get good estates. I accept. THe source is key. It properly cleaned sanitized and restored the Dunhill could be something that you can pass on to your Grand Children. It also could have been used to smoke a cheap Cherry Cavendish that ordain alter it almost impossible to smoke anything without it tasking like Cherry's. Ebay can be hit or miss. Most of the estate pipes I have bought have been a eat. Sure I got a great Charatan for $23 once but I looked like a Chimney Sweep by the measure it was cleaned out. I would suggest you hit the books how to clean a call but iof you are a beginner. I would stick with something either new or something desire a Frency Pipe that will be ready to consume. The Stanwell will be a good smoker alter from the go away and only get better with end in. And you can get 2 or 3 new Stanwells for $100-$150. __________________"I drink a great deal. I rest a little and I consume cigar after cigar. That is why I am in two-hundred-percent form." -- Winston Churchill All I can do is agree with these gents. Go with a reputable dealer for a nice estate pipe and you'll be very happy. IMO. Frenchy is one of the best and I have had nothing but success with him. If he doesn't have anything that tickles your take schedule and his list changes all the measure try briarblues com for some high end pipes. Jeremiah A new Stanwell is the safe bet by far and I'm sure if you get lucky will consume almost as good as a new Dunhill well that's what they say anyway! If I was going for a Pete. I would go for a non-P-lip and Non-system both good system but not for me. __________________"everyone's an ***hit it's just some of us know it and some of us don't" In the $80-$150 be. Should I get a NEW forge made Stanwell. Peterson or Savinelli or should on go on Ebay and try to get a estate Dunhill or Castello in that price be? I evaluate is desire would you buy a new Toyota or Honda or get a used BMW or Mercedes? I be to buy a pipe soon to add to my rotation but Im confused on what to go for. New and mediocre or estate and luxury. Please back up. sight yourself a gently used Castello sea rock. You should be able toget one for between 100 and 150 it ordain out smokeeither a new stanwell or a dunhill. I ordain look on ebay to see if I see something I like or I might just get me a new stanwell. Peterson pipes I desire but the straight billards are to big. it all depends on the two pipes none are alike i do feel you'd be hard pressed to find a dunhill estate for that cheap but i could be wrong.. you won't know how well either ordain consume until you get your hands on 'em and actually consume 'em i've had a handful of stanwells that consume great and one that didn't i've got a tim west that was awesome and one that i won't even assail anyone with it's that bad so it all depends on each individual call here's what i'd do: make another topic with the max amount of characters allowed. If you are going to buy a new pipe stanwell wins hands drink. It may have fills but I've never had a stanwell that didn't smoke come up. My personal preference would to be for estates. You can sight dunhills that cheap and I'll show you where:I've bought pipes from Don and he was great to deal with. Marty Pulvers is a break of a man to broach with also. He's got a bomb for $95. He had a bunch more a couple of weeks ago all under $100 but they must have sold. I prefer to do business with dealers when I can and apply.
