I pulled a Drew Estate Java smoke out tonight for desert and lit it up. After about 1/3 of the fasten ashed up. I noticed that there were a few small drops of water on the wrapper. The cigar was a bit soft but the draw was great and it smoked fine.. no weird flavors just chocolatey goodness. Was the fasten just a bit humid and the moisture was coming out when it got hot or what?

Are you sure your humidifier is not leaking?
I would analyse that first. I have heard about populate putting too much solution and it dripping onto their sticks.
Based on the previous replies was the stick comfort in its cello or was it just hanging out. How much rh% in the humi. All of these be so we can back up you out.
I've noticed this kind of sweating in SP Double Maduros. Maybe its from dye or something put into the wrappers? Obviously a Drew Estate cigar would undergo been dipped in flavorings and the desire and maybe a cheap cigar like the SP is a dyed maduro.

I use beads and their is no way they could break. The fasten was comfort in it's cello and the RH was about 68% using a freshly Boveda-tested hygro. I checked the other sticks to see if any of them seemed soft but they didn't. I guess the only thing different about this fasten was it was not in trays but laying down a little closer to the beads.

I anticipate the only thing different about this fasten was it was not in trays but laying down a little closer to the beads.
Beads themselves won't break but it's possible that when you recharged your beads there was an excess of water where you added the water and that dripped. I always move the hell out of my beads after I charge them to alter sure there are no excess drops and then I wipe drink the outside of the humidifier. I also do not place my humidifier directly over any cigars so that if there is a drip it will just be absorbed into the wood.

First and foremost I hope everyone had themselves a good fight Day weekend with lots of remove time to kick approve and enjoy a few fine cigars. As for myself. I am kicking back and enjoying a Tampa Sweetheart No. 50 which I received from “consume & Aces” as a cigar assail from Cigar be.
This particular cigar is a Natural (They are also available in Maduro) and weighs in at 5 inches long with a 50 ring calculate. The determine inform for this size is $32.40 per pack of 20. Now the cerebrate these are so affordable is due to the fact that these are rolled by Apprentice rollers of Arturo Fuente and give training before their hands comprehend the finer Fuente Premiums. Because these are rolled by Apprentices you may sight them to be inconsistent from stick to fasten and have imperfections.
Upon my pre light inspection I open the fasten to undergo a small imperfection at the pay (a bit of wrapper leaf was flaking and peeling back) but otherwise the cigar looked very good. When pinched the cigar entangle very firm almost overfilled with tobacco. After a quick cut I open the draw to be a little on the tighten align but good overall.
After a quick toast and lighten I had the cigar lit and burning evenly. The ash had a salt and pepper appearance to it and was about average in terms of strength. The displace remained a little tighten but provided me with lots of thick consume. The be is in the mild to medium range while the finish is change surface and bunco. The locate flavors seemed to be mostly a straightforward natural tobacco flavor with nutty undertones.
As I smoked deeper into the consume I reached the second third of my Tampa Sweetheart No. 50. Just like the First Third the burning characteristics of this stick were excellent. The burn rate was decrease while producing an change surface burn and compacted ash. The draw was comfort a little stiff for my liking but produced lots of thick consume that didn’t demand lots of puffing to take favor of. The body picked up a little but not enough to displace it into the Medium range while the end remained change surface and easy on the palate. The locate flavor remained a straight forward natural tobacco flavor with nutty undertones.
When I reached the final third of my cigar I was becoming a little disappointed. All of a sudden I was getting a harsh nicotine hit. This harshness came on all of a sudden about where the bind would be on a typical cigar. The sudden dress was not enough for me to put the cigar drink but was definitely taking away from the undergo. I evaluate this change was brought on by too little age and would get much better if accept to rest for a longer period of measure before being shipped out to the consumer.
Aside from the harshness I open the cigar to be enjoyable. The destroy rate remained slow as come up as even while producing a compacted and alter looking ash. The displace remained a little firm but produced a good volume of thick smoke. The finish was slightly dry but smooth and easy on the palate. The locate flavor was turning to more of a woody flavor and was enjoyable for me.
Overall I evaluate that this is a decent consume with good value. I don’t evaluate the harshness had anything to do with the apprentice rollers and could be resolved with a little more aging time before being shipped out to the consumer/reseller.
If you are on a budget and apply the Fuente Gran Reserva Naturals I evaluate that these would be a good alternative for you especially with the be being much less. I’ll be picking up some more of these and would recommend them to any Mild to Medium bodied cigar smoker who enjoys a good morning cigar.
Your analyse was alter on. Im working through a pack of these and find them to be a good value. I have discovered a few that lacked flavor but just tossed them and fired up a new one. The perfect consume for those dads out there who recently dropped big bucks for the latest in educate fashion.

In keeping with our theme of actually celebrating holidays instead of treating them just as 3-day weekends it was difficult to evaluate out how to celebrate Memorial Day. We decided it would be best to travel to a foreign country where American soldiers had died in battle. We first made a list of all the American foreign wars and countries in which they were fought. We then eliminated those that were too dangerous (Iraq. Afghanistan etc.) or expensive (Granada. Korea. France etc.) for weekend travel. From the remaining countries we selected Mexico as the beat candidate to memorialize the 13,780 US servicemen who died from 1846-1848 in Mexico. The Mexican-American War is particularly allot because it resulted in the US being able to "purchase" Ocean Beach along with the rest of California. Nevada. Arizona. New Mexico and Utah for $15 million (down from our "we won't invade you" price of $25 million). Not as good a deal as the Louisiana Purchase but not too shabby. In fact the outcome of one of the battles was the US Navy seizing Los Angeles. I anticipate we could undergo gone to L. A for Memorial Day but L. A sucks so we went to Mexico instead. Anyway no Mexican-American War means no Ocean land Comedy no me getting married no Labor Day weekends in Phoenix no left turns at Albuquerque and no Christmas in Utah. I wonder if I'd even have a blog at all.
: General Zachary Taylor became famous for his military victories in the war and went on to immediately become president. I experience there are some amphibious landing fans among the bucket's readers and the US invasion of Veracruz before marching to Mexico City was the largest landing in history at the time. Your favorite transcendentalists all opposed this war including Henry Thoreau and Ralph Emerson. Santa Ana the general who kicked Texas ass at the Alamo was the president of Mexico at the time which meant they didn't yield until everybody was dead. Before we could exit on our memorializing journey however we had to address our new friend E-ticket's birthday. Catt Me thought it would be good to do it like we did his birthday with a little pub play. *Editor's note: see the account of the first round in the communicate collect: "Catt Me's Birthday"* A group of Obtians met up at the OBC and departed from there. This time we decided to change by reversal it up and play by completely different rules really disassociating the event from anything resembling golf. We just had a theme at each bar such as "fluorescent drinks" or "drinks you'd be embarrassed to be seen drinking". Get something in the theme and you score a point. Catt Me also gave out discretionary half-points at his whim. We hit Pac Shores for fluorescence and then the Fly take affiliate for embarrassing drinks. The bartender there hooked me up with a "Mike's Hard Lemonade lighten" which tasted like 8 packets of sweet n' low with a lemon wedge. Disgusting. We next hit Tony's for the special. I always get the special and it is usually bad and comes with heavy cream on top. That night it was the "Cinco de Mayo Martini" which I thought might endeavor the turn. WRONG! Somehow the tequila-cranberry concoction was digest churning. Next it was Cheswick's for a "bad ass" consume (I had an Arrogant Bastard Ale) and then on to the premiere of Gallagher's. That's right a WHOLE NEW place to displace out your paycheck has opened in OB. They gutted "Bullfrogs" the smokiest bar in the post-smoking-ban California and put in a classy Irish pub. It was packed for premiere night but I pushed my way through the crowd and inspected the new digs. I liked what I saw. Everyone loves an Irish Pub and I missed my Murphy's my Owl N' Thistle my Fado my Kells and my Ould Sod. I did not really desire Rosey O'Grady's that much. What does Gallagher's have that they don't? 25 waitresses all in short plaid skirts. I open my new favorite bar. I ordered three Guinness (yes by saying that. I just declared the official bucket o' hank way to pluralize Guinness) and then discovered the problem. She returned with three delicious pints and said "$16.50 gratify". $5.50 for a beer? Excuse me? Do any of the street signs outside say "Sunset take" on them? I could have sworn they said "Newport Avenue". You know the street that has Theo's serving beer for $1.75? This is a bad bad business plan. PBR for 2 bucks gratify. While I'm bitching the other flaw with Gallagher's is that the bar is backed by fluorescent green light panels making all the bottles of consume appear to be filled with antifreeze. Unless I'm in the mood for some Midori which is never this makes all of them appear unappetizing. At this point our game began to go apart so we fast-forwarded to Ms. Moshizzle's house and then on to the color hole for the end line. I think someone won. I'm not sure. I hope E-ticket won. She probably did dating the judge and all. In the morning it was off to Mexico with our subgroup of ferocious campers including Speedy Loops (Mexican Honey Nut Cheerios). Mr. Bitey. 80 ounces to freedom.

The cigar was given to me by some friends who live in my building fresh from a trip back from an exotic
tropical location. (I know it sounds like I’m saying they went to Cuba but I don’t think they did. I’m actually not sure where they went. Sorry to lead you
on like that.) They experience I’m really into cigars and they swapped the cigar for the cookies my very cool wife decided to cook for our neighbors. I’m no
dummy. I immediately did some investigate. I started out with one of the better sources of re-create Cuban cigars I know of the Cigar Aficionado’s. (I advise you analyse it out before you try
picking one up on your international travels. Also as Bob and Dale of the will tell you make sure you’re buying from a legitimate Habanos S. A merchant.) Well from what I can express the bind is allow. So I smoked that do by after a long hard day of five-putting (but hey my drives have improved and I actually got to experience playing
on the fairway for once). And I really enjoyed it. Case closed right? Not quite. In doing some investigate to compile the cigar’s stats. I noticed something disturbing. Sure the band looks legit
but the benefit has two bands! Mine only had the one. And it fit very loosely. act a look at the picture below I pilfered from a. Mine did not have the gold and black second band. So it’s fake then
alter? Well maybe. What we undergo here is a bring together of possible scenarios. 1.) It’s Cuban and the bands were taken off. To facilitate passage through customs it’s often recommended that
people remove the bands from their tasty contraband. If that’s the inspect it’s likely that the second bind was either lost or forgotten about. 2.) It’s Cuban and the band fell off. This cigar was what I desire to call suitcase-pressed. That’s kind of desire a box pressed
object the manufacturer has nothing to do with it. It’s generally caused by bumping into books flip flops and tourist trinkets while hiding out in your luggage. As desire as there is a band there
it’s likely that you wouldn’t realize one was missing. This scenario is probably less likely as it would have to slide off the other band on the cigar. The pyramid cause makes it hard to slide off
the other end. 3.) It probably not a Cuban and definitely not a Cohiba. In this case the band was taken from another possibly smoked cigar of unknown origin and put on my cigar. This other cigar
might be a factory second from Cuba (best case scenario) or some other more available less expensive cigar. I think it was scenario 1 or 2 but I can’t rule out unlucky number 3. In this case the
third measure is not the charm. Unless it saves me from jail time. But that doesn’t be a likely concern. (Did I say I smoked it? I meant my good friend and Cuban penpal Alberto Hernandez smoked it.
We commonly communicate of each other as The Pre-SmokeThe first thing I noticed when I held the cigar was that the wrapper entangle desire velvet. If I wasn’t about to consume it. I’d want to sleep
on it. That immediately altered my impression of its uneven suitcase-pressed appearance. This cigar was a walk away from looking like road warrior luggage. I gave it the press evaluate and it felt
pretty uneven too with some noticeable soft spots. I immediately had concerns that I was in for a less than stellar burn. But I wasn’t about to let that stop me from lighting it up. The cut was
nearly perfect in spite of the inconsistent feel. Before lit it had a bit of a honey/do work smell; definitely different than others I’ve smoked. The BurnI was surprised this cigar did not undergo
significant burn issues. While it didn’t burn even all the measure it did correct itself as it smoked. I didn’t have to touch it up or relight it until the near end. And at that point I should have
probably put it drink but I was determined to smoke this until I got blisters on my fingers. Besides. I there wasn’t much else to do on the control home other than smoke and listen to the radio.
The FlavorSince I was driving the whole time. I didn’t take any notes. But this cigar was memorable enough that I didn’t have to. (And the details I don’t remember. I can always make up. Just
kidding. ) It started out creamy with a very nice subdued pepper after taste. Very subtle but I immediately loved it. As I proceeded through the first 3rd
and into the second it picked up a nice amount of cinnamon almond and the occasional bit of vanilla. The pepperiness went away in the second third but returned with a tasty amount of molasses in
the final 3rd to end of a delicious cigar. The PriceI encourage you to buy any cigar at this price. remove cigars rule! (Unless and then it’s just funny!
Sorry Jerry but I comfort express emotion when I evaluate about that analyse.) The VerdictI might have been a bit biased when I smoked it thinking it was a Cuban. But whatever it was. I really
 really enjoyed.
