I know I didn't discover America but did discover somthing good. I stoped off at a Cigar shop I usaly don't go in too. Only once in a while they realy didn't have anything I tried or liked so I was thinking hey maybe it's time to move on to somthing new. And found a cigar Named MAXX. The Shorty was $4.50 and all other Sizes where $5.50 first I was thinking hey for that price it must be one of those cheapies but the guy in the store saw me look at them and he said they sell alot and people keep on coming back for them. I got one shorty went out and toasted it right there.. I lit up that boy and sat in my car with the door open. Its pretty nice out here only in the mid 60's I sat back turned on the radio and relaxd. "Remember" I was still in Park near the shop I just shut that car engine walked back a half block to the store and got 4 more of these Sticks. I enjoyed it very much. Tasty. Good burn etc.... Anyone else feel the same way about these?and hey for this price? Jack I'm assuming you're talking about the MAXX by Alec Bradley? I've tried a couple it seem like they're good for a few minutes then I just get bored of it. Never tried them before but it sounds like you had a stellar time. With the title of the thread I thought it was going to be about the CAO America. Nice review & description of your experience. Not a bad smoke for the price. If I remember correctly the ring gauge is rather large (50 or so). If you like the Maxx try the AB Supervisor Selection from Famous:I hear that they're the same cigar at $2 a stick <TABLE id=HB_Mail_Container height="100%" cellSpacing=0 cellPadding=0 width="100%" border=0 UNSELECTABLE="on"><TBODY><TR height="100%" UNSELECTABLE="on" width="100%"><TD id=HB_Focus_Element vAlign=top width="100%" background="" height=250 UNSELECTABLE="off">That's one of those cigars i've always looked at and had reccomended to me by shop owners and never tried(kinda like the XL's). But it sounds like you enjoyed it. Might have to give it try I've never tried 'em sounds like a possibility. I'll have to see if my B&M carries 'em. Cigar com has em for $5 ea or $90 a box. We all see where that got me. Smoked Dutch Masters and Swisher Sweets in lay/high educate. My buddies bought me a huge Punch for my 18th birthday. I've always been interested in fine tobacco. I've smoked boutique cigars since I turned 18 but didn't get really interested until I was a bit older. The first time I met my father-in-law (2002) he gave me two Fuente's and that's what really got me going down the slope. He's since bought me my only humidor and filled it up every Christmas but now I have to fill it myself in between Started with a Phillies Blunt just about 2 years ago. My mom's been smoking cigarettes since just after I was born and she knows I hate it. I figured if I sat drink with her and lit up a stogie it'd get under her skin and it worked exceed than I could have imagined. She put hers out and walked away. I bought another pack or two and after about 3 more of the Phillies I decided to capture for something that wouldn't get a horrible comprehend in my mouth. I picked up a H. Upmann Robusto which is to this day my favorite go-to cigar. From then on I just had to keep trying more and I'm so glad I did. And as of August 19th I'm 21 and old enough to go away delving in to the world of accompanying drinks a k a fine liquors Already have a pint of Gentleman Jack and I can't wait to try the Single lay. I comfort bequeath the smell of the tobacco. Anyway a guy in the office beside me at work smoked a call and when he'd get back from a smoke break. I'd smell it and it reminded me of my brother's call. One day I was talking to my roommate and mentioned the call story and he told me that he occasionally smokes cigars which I never knew. Fast send a few weeks. I was getting my oil changed and decided to walk around the shopping plaza. open a drugstore bought some Jewel Sweets and Jewel Blacks. Later the next evening he and I smoked them. He always smoked Swisher Sweets and preferred them but I liked the Jewels Sweets exceed. A bring together weeks later I found unify Stogie started browsing around open out about Cigars International and grabbed a humidor from ebay and a couple taster packs from CI and then found myself at the Devil Site. And that sealed my glide. It's now just a matter of how far I'll glide... I had messed around w/ Swishers and Backcountry off and on for quite a while as well as stints w/ the pipe here and there. I always thought it was weird how I desire cigars and pipes but absolutely detested cigarette consume. Turns out I just knew better. Anyway. I got a hankerin' to fire up a cigar again and went by the local discount tobacco shop and they only had some JM's and a Matacan brand. I furnish the JM's a shot and liked it better than any other cigar I had had before that. Long story short. I get the bright idea after smoking my "real" cigar to get online and explore JM and sight out just what I had bought and do a little research to try and sight a better displace to buy some finer cigars. I end up here and about a month later I just finished my coolidor today and am waiting for it to alter. I think someone here surely must owe me some $$$. For me the fascination for cigars started at a very young age. It was the sharp smell of Schimmelpenninck panatelas smoked by an old friend of my parents that caught my interest. The old doctor is comfort alive he must be in his eighties today and still chain-smoke his panatelas!
