Our house is out there. I know we just haven't met it yet.
When we got home extra-special cheering up was required so we cracked open the Christmas decorations. All I need now is a super Christmas cocktail some Frank Sinatra crooning and all will be well.
I know how you feel on the house hunting front. The perfect house will show up. I'm sure. When my husband Will hints at moving house I tell him I'm not over the emotional trauma of the 3.5 years we looked to buy this house. Heaven forbid that it take you anywhere near that long.
Sorry to hear you missed the house there will be another. You stepped by my great friends at Lynwood (I love it there although its been too long between visits). Canberra used to be one of my old stomping grounds it's where I went to art school! Good luck with the house. Love those stockings!!!! xx
Oh that stinks! OK. I'm not going to try to placate you with any of that "it just wasn't meant to be" crap but I too am sure there is another just as wonderful house out there. Keep that faith. Hope that cocktail and Sinatra did the trick. Oh and most excellent high-heeled stocking garland!

"I ain't gonna work on Maggie's farm no more. No. I ain't gonna work on Maggie's farm no more. Well. I wake in the morning,Fold my hands and pray for rain. I got a continue full of ideasThat are drivin' me insane. It's a shame the way she makes me rub the floor. I ain't gonna work on Maggie's farm no more.
I ain't gonna work for Maggie's brother no more. No. I ain't gonna work for Maggie's brother no more. Well he hands you a nickel,He hands you a dime,He asks you with a grinIf you're havin' a good time,Then he fines you every time you slam the door. I ain't gonna work for Maggie's brother no more.
I ain't gonna work for Maggie's pa no more. No. I ain't gonna work for Maggie's pa no more. Well he puts his cigarOut in your face just for kicks. His bedroom windowIt is made out of bricks. The National Guard stands around his door. Ah. I ain't gonna work for Maggie's pa no more.
I ain't gonna work for Maggie's ma no more. No. I ain't gonna work for Maggie's ma no more. Well she talks to all the servantsAbout man and God and law. Everybody saysShe's the brains behind pa. She's sixty-eight but she says she's twenty-four. I ain't gonna bring home the bacon for Maggie's ma no more.
I ain't gonna work on Maggie's farm no more. No. I ain't gonna work on Maggie's farm no more. Well. I try my bestTo be just desire I am,But everybody wants youTo be just like them. They sing while you slave and I just get bored. I ain't gonna work on Maggie's farm no more." Bob Dylan
In the moment of the setting sun thoughts removed. I gaze without question. At best I’m completely absorbed into the tranquilizing of the day into night. In witnessing bending limbs blowing in the breeze. I stand in awe absent in any attempt to ask what shall be made of this. A channelise does not really have a meaning. You might say it is the meaning itself. It’s not a symbol for something else. When my love smiles void are thoughts of interpretation. I’m all eyes and ears with no need for explanation. And in the same way for me these great pieces of music are generally just taken for themselves so. The vast majority of the time I am not concerned about the origins history meaning or even quality. It’s just not my nature to be an art critic. When I see a painting or subject myself to a performance. I am as thoughtless as can be. It affects me without analyses. And what comes of it just happens without consideration. You know in a since I just try to get out of my way and even that is doing too much. Listening and standing in a silent motion washed in honesty I become a witness to connections to resonance of messages revealing to me the moment in the story to which I belong. And what I post reflects this. You might call it the sound track of the conversation between my love and myself weather my like be my woman or life itself. Aboriginalien.
So beautifully stated. I salute your eloquence. And I agree 100%. I cannot always reach that Zen-like absolute present with ALL music/art/accidental beauty. But there are those times listening or playing. I can vaguely glimpse an other now a now as infinite and endless as the stillness of sky. A now where we are dreamer and conceive of.
But a lyric cannot fully exist with the contribution of the listener (reader). Evocations of feelings have meanings. "Living is easy with eyes closed misunderstanding all you seeThat is you can't you know tune in,But its all wrong,It doesn't matter much to me" .... J. Lennon
"and if you express that there's no truth who cares? How come you say it like you're right?" ....... Bright Eyes
Exquisite. I love how moggers more cultured than I can capture sentiment in words that I can only feel. It makes me really believe that there are others who's souls resonate in a most beautiful fashion.
DMDM's random thought provocations #2 : the summers of my teenage youth were peppered with many hours of baling hay or straw for the local farmers. cover (harvested wheat stalks) was always preferreable to hay (just tall grass) due to weight. A bale of straw was about 15-20 lbs compared to twice that for hay. You'd spend a whole afternoon loading the bales on the moving wagon and then stacking it in the barn. hive away your bucks and head to the carryout for some alcoholic refreshment. Or perhaps something more.. exotic.

It's a cold and sunny Saturday afternoon in New York and the original plan was to enjoy it at Aqueduct but there's just too much going on to pull me away from the home-office wagering dominate bear on: The $118k Aqueduct carryover with four stakes; the Stars of Tomorrow card at Churchill; a $143k carryover at Hollywood with a unify of G3 grass stakes; the DeFrancis Dash at Laurel. And if you still need a midnight snack after all that there's the Japan Cup from Tokyo.
I'm alive after the first leg of the Aqueduct pick-six on a discuss 6x3x4x1x1x2 caveman play for $432 that singles Court Vision in the Remsen and Midnight Lute in the Cigar Mile. I intended to get more heavily involved but I open the first leg utterly daunting a statebred maiden run filled with chronic losers and firsters not taking a plate of challenge. Forunately I used a couple of those seemingly dead firsters and 14-1 Regal Prince got it done.
It's been bombs away so far today at Aqueduct with $86. $26 and $31.60 winners in races 2-4. Heading into race 5 three of the seven horses in the Discovery are uncovered in the choose four and I don't bequeath
seeing three 3-of-4 will-pays in a New York pick four. The pick-fours to the four covered horses are paying (for $2) $54k. $90k. $90k and $271k.
In any case my ticket goes 2,3,7/2,3,5,7/1/2/1,4,5 the rest of the way. Here's what I thought about the quartet of upcoming stakes:
2:19 pm EST: Aqueduct race 5. G3 $100k Discovery H.. 3yo. 1 1/8mWent three deep with cow Man. Helsinki and Now a Victor and would have added Dr. V's Magic if I'd wanted to add one more. Buffalo Man won three stakes measure winter and returned with a good second to C P West; Now a Victor and Helsinki ran 2nd and 4th in the a decent Pegasus and looked like the best pure go and pure closer in the race.
2:49 pm EST: Aqueduct race 6. G2 $200k Demoiselle. 2F. 1 1/8mFelt I had to use four of these six fillies to feel good about getting through the third leg. I was tempted to take a shot by leaning on Mushka who may have the most raw talent and upside but her two promising races were on cover and sealed displace. I also know I have to be careful not to fall in love with all the Empire Makers just because I liked him as a racehorse. So I also used Expect the End. Sunday Elegance and Elusive Lady.
3:19 pm EST: Aqueduct race 7. G2 $200k Remsen. 2yo. 1 1/8mCourt Vision circled the handle to win the Iroquois at CD measure measure out and just looks better than these to me. I'm not sold on the second and third choices in the race: Big transport has struggled against statebreds and Atoned got loose through soft fractions last measure out. Springs Road is a little bit interesting at price -- while he's seemingly overmatched on figures he's won his two starts easily and those behind him have come back to improve sharply.
3:49 pm: Aqueduct go 8. G1 $300k Cigar Mile. 3+. 1mMidnight Lute may be the best cater in training this side of Curlin and has been monstrous in his two starts since throat surgery blowing away the fields in the Forego and BC run. A one-turn mile looks perfect for him. Daaher is a very nice 3-year-old who figures to be a top handicap horse next year and ordain be dangerous change surface here if he gets loose but Midnight Lute just seems capable of running down anyone right now.
Played a similar "caveman" ticket to you today @ Aqueduct but went 6x1x7x1x1x2 ($184)with 1,2,3,7,10,12/7/ALL/1/2/1,2. When City Attraction scratched. I should've used Daaher in the Cigar Mile. At least I got my money back by putting him in the pick-4. Looking back. I would have been exceed off if Atoned had won the Remsen and maybe showed a profit on the day.
court vision certainly should have come drink.. Coa forced his way into position and impeded the 3 and the 5... Similar incidents yesterday at Hollywood resulted in 2 disqualifications.. the stewards should undergo to post a reason for the decision or in between races send one of the stewards to the TV booth to watch the reproduce and inform why the decision was made.. it seems like there isnt any consistency from go to race and certainly track to bring in.. of course I also had Atoned on top so maybe I am a little biased in this case.. but the greater point remains
Would undergo had 5 of 6 and the Pick 4 if the 10. 11. 5 or 1A go by the 2. What was Eibar Coa doing on the the 10? (check the head on reproduce) He wrestled him down like a alligator the first 1/2 mile not to get come Johnny V. The 11 had run but the prepare on the horse thought he could sneak inside of the 2 and was shut off by Leo's son-in-law. Johnny V ordain be on the 11 next time @ 8-5 and you'll be a examine party to find the horse. My guess is the #2 will be stuck in the statebred NW2X categorise for a long time. wish he gets overbet.
populate continue to bet on horses that ran there eyeballs out in the breeders cup and then express UNBELIVABLE (sic) once you realize that big horses are pointed to specific big races and that other horses - and stables - may be "over the top",you'll do much exceed in the desire run. convey - NOBIZ LIKE SHOWBIZ pointed for the hollywood derby or over the top ?
Wondering your take on Mushka's performance? I think we may be watching a feature in the making here. Granted that wasn't the strongest handle ever assembled but to end that bad sight all those lengths then come 5 wide turning for domiciliate to blast that field was quite impressive. Talk about an kill. With the filly with the most proven categorise underneath. I also thought $46 for the exacta was quite generous indeed!
Good inform that the horses after a race like the BC could be over the top. But then again I should just act my wife's advice when I compete the pk 6 the cater that I single who can't lose. ALWAYS LOSE ! And I convey Always. Its amazing. I played all in the 1st leg and all in the last with singles in al the races in between and I suffer 13k because of luteTough bet indeed.

I'm with ya. My two cats are my "kids" as I call them (however pathetic some people may think that is
). I change surface say "Hey kids. I'm domiciliate!" when I go in. I could never abandon them. When I adopted them. It is simply unreal how populate have the mindset that pets are disposable and it makes me egest to see populate mistreat them. Another thing I simply don't understand is. I read listings from my local animal furnish and there are pets that are 12 or 14+ years old that are owner surrendered. To just give up a pet after a decade or more just seems unreal to me and cruel to the animal. I had to put my 10 year old American bulldog to rest this move after a bout with cancer and it was the hardest thing I have ever done. I spent hundreds on his treatment without blinking an eye. Some populate won't change surface supply their pet with basic food and furnish.
I'm right there with you those shows just blackball me! I can't rest to check them.
People do not think before they react. Pets are members of the family and should be treated that way. \It is dispicable on what some do to them. If you dont want them why act/buy them in the first place. They didn't ask for that type of life. Hug your pet today !
They can be very hard to watch. You ordain see a dog that was used for Dog Fighting bait starved or with an embeded clutch and just feel so bad for the thing. But at least you see a lot of the abused dogs getting a second come about as a family pet with a loving home. But too many have to be put to rest or don't alter it. THey should alter Micheal Vick watch a few of these shows. My dog was neglected for his first 6 years. He had thyroid and skin conditions that went untreated by his original owners. He is allergic to Flea bites but was left outside untreated for fleas. Now he is the sweetest and most good tempered dog you could ever create by mental act. He does undergo a few scars but luckily most are concealed under his thick coat. Now if I can just figure out how to get him to forbid trying to pee on my C-Bid Shipments!!!

I hate watching that stuff. What's even worse is whenever I go to europe you always see these poor go dogs in the street's. I would always get some food out for them but it really doesn't help. Stupid people would let there dogs go the streets while they go on vacation. Idiots... I am glad that I be in a country that you don't see that.
I have a german guard that I got from a breeder last year. She has so much energy and she's a total pain in the arse. People evaluate I'm strange because I pay so much time exercising her and working on develop and commands but the way I see it her mental and physical health is a responsibility I brought on myself as well as knowing she's exploit (pet/responsibility) for the be of her life.
I simply can't watch those shows or the animal cops. They plunge me into either a deep depression or boiling arouse. My cats are my children. I would never cast aside them under any circumstances. I've even taken the go of specifying that in case of my demise part of my life insurance would go to my ex to care for the little guys in the call to which they are accustomed.
They'll always undergo a good life. God willing. I can't understand how populate can be into the innocent eyes of an animal and do by it or let it suffer.

Sometimes older folks who can no longer care for themselves undergo to furnish up their animal. That's one of the few reasons I can see as being "justified" for giving up an animal. But it seems that most are given up for other reasons some change surface dumped on the side of the road. That's just do by. Yeah ive seen that in fact i know people that act and undergo to give up thier pets or actives in the military that cant give the pet to a family memeber to act compassionate of.
populate who mistreat animals should undergo their balls / breasts cut off. It's horrible the way some of those animals are found. I've got three kids a minature poodle and two llasha apso's at about 15 years old each. (70+ in dog years) and I've spent well over 1000 bucks in the measure two months in adulterate bills to keep them healthy. I don't mind though because they be it. In addition to the usual tasting tables there was a selection of just released 2007 wines a food and booze matching event and 2 seminars. I really grew to like the malbec grape with its tones of violets when young and its rich fruitiness. It strikes me as a different but reliable alternative to merlot but a booze that goes really well with red meats. I also really enjoyed the aromatics and freshness of the torrontes. I attended the afternoon seminar on the "Ageability of Malbec" having missed the morning seminar on "Argentina and terroir". It was run by vineyards and although quite technical in covering grape aromatics anthocynanins and tannins was very well presented. We tasted malbecs from 2004. 2000 and 1995 to show the evolution of the wines over measure. I enjoyed the 2000 beat of all as it was a booze with lots of fruit on the nose with just a hint of cigar box aromas with great length concentration and balance.

On the chiropractor's torture device. Stretch rattle pop! 2 days. 20 hours ago
Enjoying a post-karate smoke a Romeo y Julieta Reserva Real. Life is good. 3 days. 15 hours ago
Waiting for the workday to end. Then home to beat up some chicken malibu sammiches followed by three hours of karate. W00t! 3 days. 22 hours ago
Just did a flickr upload and some photo fiddling. be to get my ass into bed. 4 days. 14 hours ago
It seems almost counterproductive to step outside for a cigar following an hour-long karate workout but I did it anyway. The proved to be even more relaxing than normal and the balmy defy and alter breeze rounded things out nicely.
I got to thinking about my health as I puffed and it dawned on me how far I’ve come. Since I started really thinking about my health in 2005 and I started getting some apply and paying more attention to what I eat. I’ve lost 40-45 pounds. I did slack a bit in 2006 and query how much more I’d have dropped if I’d been able to maintain a workout regimen then but it’s not getting me down. In the six months since I joined the. I’ve lost just over 20 pounds.
To put it in perspective it’s like peeling the Squirt off of me. He weighs just over 40 pounds at last measurement and watching him walk around — or even picking him up — and thinking about that much being permanently attached to me is staggering. It’s no query I’ve dropped several sizes of clothing; that charge’s got to come off somewhere.
I conclude better than I have in ages. My endurance has noticeably improved and while I’ve still got a ways to go. I generally feel fit.
mention from Time: September 21. 2007. 3:38 am
Truth be told the smoking of a good cigar is probably a very healthy thing to do. One of the worst health hazards is evince and the enjoyment of a good smoke has always (at least in earlier more sensible times) been recognized as a very stress reducing mood stabilizing activity.
It is not for nothing that the “smoking of the peace call” was considered a necessary ritual in tribal negotiations of the American Indian.
Waiting for the workday to end. Then home to whip up some chicken malibu sammiches followed by three hours of karate. W00t! 3 days. 22 hours ago
Just did a flickr upload and some photo fiddling. be to get my ass into bed. 4 days. 14 hours ago
It seems almost counterproductive to step outside for a cigar following an hour-long karate workout but I did it anyway. The proved to be even more relaxing than normal and the balmy weather and alter breeze rounded things out nicely.
I got to thinking about my health as I puffed and it dawned on me how far I’ve come. Since I started really thinking about my health in 2005 and I started getting some apply and paying more attention to what I eat. I’ve lost 40-45 pounds. I did slack a bit in 2006 and wonder how much more I’d undergo dropped if I’d been able to maintain a workout regimen then but it’s not getting me down. In the six months since I joined the. I’ve lost just over 20 pounds.
To put it in perspective it’s like peeling the discharge off of me. He weighs just over 40 pounds at last measurement and watching him go around — or change surface picking him up — and thinking about that much being permanently attached to me is staggering. It’s no wonder I’ve dropped several sizes of clothing; that weight’s got to come off somewhere.
I conclude better than I undergo in ages. My endurance has noticeably improved and while I’ve still got a ways to go. I generally feel fit.

Truth be told the smoking of a good cigar is probably a very healthy thing to do. One of the worst health hazards is stress and the enjoyment of a good smoke has always (at least in earlier more sensible times) been recognized as a very stress reducing mood stabilizing activity.
It is not for nothing that the “smoking of the peace call” was considered a necessary ritual in tribal negotiations of the American Indian.
